Which airports and ports in Brazil do you ship to?
- Air: São Paulo Guarulhos (GRU) and Campinas Viracopos (VCP) are the main cargo airports. We also ship to Rio de Janeiro (GIG), Curitiba (CWB), Belo Horizonte (CNF) and other cities. There is no direct cargo flight from Helsinki, so shipments connect in a European hub, chosen by price, capacity and schedule.
- Sea: Santos is the largest container port. Paranaguá, Itajaí/Navegantes and Rio de Janeiro also have regular services. Full containers (FCL) and smaller shipments (LCL) both work.

What Brazil requires on the documents
Brazilian customs checks documents closely, and a mistake can cost a fine or keep the goods in the warehouse. Before shipping we check that:
- The consignee can import: registered with the tax authority (RADAR) and with its CNPJ number on the commercial invoice, packing list and waybill.
- The invoice is complete: full goods description, HS (NCM) code, quantity, unit price, total value, currency, Incoterm, country of origin, gross and net weight.
- An import licence is in place when the goods need one, for example medicines and medical devices, cosmetics, food and agricultural products. The buyer applies for it before the goods leave.
- Wooden packaging is ISPM 15 treated and marked: Brazil enforces this strictly.
- Dangerous goods and lithium batteries are classified and packed under the IATA DGR before booking. Dangerous goods
Export from Finland
A shipment to Brazil leaves the EU, so it needs an export declaration. Send us the commercial invoice, packing list and your EORI number, and any export licence for dual-use goods. Once the goods have left the EU, Finnish Customs confirms the export. Keep that confirmation: it proves the sale is zero-rated for VAT.
Common problems on the Brazil lane, and how we avoid them
- No CNPJ, or a different consignee name on the invoice and the waybill: the goods stop in customs. We match the details before booking.
- Missing import licence: the goods arrive but cannot be cleared. We ask the buyer to confirm the licence before the goods leave.
- Untreated wooden pallets: Brazil can order them treated or returned at the importer’s cost. We check the ISPM 15 mark.
- A surprise tax bill for the buyer: Brazilian import taxes are high. We recommend agreeing the Incoterm and who pays before shipping.
How it works
- Send the pickup address, destination, goods description, dimensions, weights and Incoterm.
- You get a price, routing and transit time.
- We collect the goods, check the documents and clear export in Finland.
- You get the AWB or B/L number for tracking.
- Our partner clears import in Brazil and delivers.
