What we handle
Pickup and origin export clearance through our partners, flight booking and consolidation, import customs declaration at Helsinki Airport, payment of duty and import VAT, release from the cargo terminal, and delivery anywhere in Finland. You can also collect from the cargo area yourself. Our team works on site in the Helsinki Airport cargo area (01530 Vantaa) every working day. The Finnish Customs air cargo service is in the same area, so we sort out customs questions in person.
Documents, duty and VAT
For goods from outside the EU we need the commercial invoice, packing list, air waybill, the importer’s EORI number, a proof of origin if you claim preferential duty, and permits for restricted goods. Duty depends on the CN code. Import VAT is generally 25.5%, calculated on the customs value (including freight to the EU border) plus duty. VAT-registered businesses report import VAT in OmaVero rather than paying it to Customs. Shipments from other EU countries need no customs clearance.
