TT-Line to become second operator on the Muuga–Vuosaari freight route in 2027

Port of Tallinn has signed with TT-Line for a second ro-pax ferry between Muuga and Vuosaari, expected to start in the first quarter of 2027.

Port of Tallinn (Tallinna Sadam) has signed an agreement with the German ferry company TT-Line to operate a vessel on the Muuga–Vuosaari route between Estonia and Finland. Sailings are expected to start in the first quarter of 2027; the exact date has not been confirmed yet.

The route is currently served by Eckerö Line’s Finbo Cargo. According to the port, freight volumes have grown year after year and are reaching the limit of what one vessel can handle. TT-Line’s ro-pax ferry will have about 2,000 lane metres for cargo. The vessel will be announced in November.

What this means for shippers

A second operator should bring more capacity and more departures for trucks and trailers between Vuosaari and Muuga, a key link between Finland, the Baltics and Central Europe. Our team is at Vuosaari port every working day, and we follow the new schedule when it is published.
