At the end of October 2026 Finnair starts daily flights between Helsinki and Melbourne via Bangkok with Airbus A350 aircraft, and Finnair Cargo sells the cargo space on the route. It is Finnair’s first route to Australia. The same aircraft links Finland with both Thailand and southern Australia.
What this means for shippers
Wide-body belly space with a single stop in Bangkok gives a new option for air freight between Finland and Australia, and more capacity between Helsinki and Bangkok. Spare parts, samples and other urgent cargo can stay on one carrier all the way. Ask us for a quote and we will compare this routing with connections via other hubs.
